How the scores work
Every listed website gets a score out of 100 from an automated review of its public pages: the home page, plus the bounce-house and water-slide pages when a site has them. Each page is reviewed several times and the results are averaged.
Scorer version: Website Scorer v2.1.0 (current). Scoring window: 2026-10-14 to 2026-10-31. Scores as of: 2026-10-31. Websites scored: 5,510.
The 5 scoring categories
Each category is worth about the same share of the score.
- Technical health (~20%): Does the page load correctly, resolve to one canonical address, work on phones and stay fast and indexable?
- Search intent & structure (~20%): Does the page answer what a renter searched for, with clear headings, service-area and product information?
- Trust signals (~20%): Can a visitor see who runs the business, real contact details, policies, reviews and honest dates?
- AI-answer readiness (~20%): Can search and answer engines read, quote and trust the page (allowed crawlers, concrete facts up front, consistent structured data)?
- Booking & conversion (~20%): Can a renter see prices, check a date and book or request a quote without friction?
How a score is calculated
- Pages read. The home page, plus the bounce-house page and the water-slide page when the site has them.
- Repeated runs. Each page is reviewed 3 separate times by the same automated scorer and the 3 results are averaged, so one odd run cannot move a score much.
- Category points. Each of the 5 categories is worth up to 20 points, so a page can earn up to 100. The individual checks inside each category, and how they are weighted, are kept private so the scoring cannot be gamed or copied.
- Website score. The website's score is the average of its scored pages, rounded to 2 decimals. Websites are ranked from the highest score down.
- What is not in the score. Fleet size (inflatable unit counts), prices charged, Google ratings, years in business and whether a company pays for a plan are never inputs. Unit counts on company pages are shown for information only. Site speed, visible reviews and ease of booking matter only as far as they show up on the public pages read (Technical health, Trust signals and Booking & conversion).
Principles
- Independent. Scores come from our own automated review of public website pages. They rate websites only, never service quality, safety, insurance or prices.
- Same rules for everyone. Every ranked business is scored by the same scorer version with the same rules.
- Billing never affects rank. Paying for a plan never changes a score or a rank. Billing data is not an input to the scorer and the ranking code never reads it.
- Regular rescoring. Websites are rescored on a regular schedule (see the rescore calendar), so scores change as sites change.
